1. Emergency Hormonal Contraception (EHC) and Safeguarding – a local update: What every pharmacy should know from October 2025 changes – hosted by Gloucestershire ICB – 21st October 2025
Learning Objectives:
- Describe changes to new NHSE Emergency Contraception service as the Gloucestershire County Council (GCC) is decommissioned
- Apply current CoSRH (new for College of Sexual and Reproductive Health that was FSRH)
- Recognise and take appropriate actions when you have concerns about safeguarding issue
- Support informed shared-decision making consultations tailored to increasingly diverse patient needs
- Identify when and where to refer patients for further local sexual health support beyond the current scope of community pharmacists

2. CPE – Emergency Contraception and the PCS webinar – hosted by Community Pharmacy England (CPE) – 9th October 2025
Alastair Buxton, Director of NHS Services and David Onuoha, Service Development Manager will be joined by Kirsty Armstrong, Senior Policy Lead in the Clinical Pharmacy Strategy Team at NHS England who has led the implementation of the NHS Pharmacy Contraception Service at NHS England. They will brief attendees on the changes to the service, in advance of the scheduled implementation date on 29th October 2025.
