Independent prescribing is a key step forward for community pharmacists, enabling them to diagnose, manage, and prescribe within their clinical competence. To support local community pharmacists in becoming Independent Prescribers, Gloucestershire ICB are hosting a webinar that explains the process.

Key Next Steps:

  3. Read the Slow Clinic timetable – to fully understand the time commitment. (The link is below)
  4. Complete and Return the EoI form to Gloucestershire ICB by the 15th June 2025 at 5pm – the form has been sent to every pharmacy, but you can also review the document online/download a copy in the section below – Expressions of Interest – EoI. Reminder the deadline for submission The deadline for returning the EoI is the 15th June 2025 at 5pm . all submissions should be returned to: glicb.pod@nhs.net
  5. A convened panel will review your EoI and make an informed decision based on a number of selection criteria on whether they will support your expression of interest to the Teach and Treat Programme and secure DPP support and the 90 hours of learning in a prescribing environment required, for you to submit an application to the university of your choice, that is listed in the NHS funded Courses.
